Reaching Your Golden Years is No Accident

Dear American Defenders,
I made a traffic stop on an elderly lady the other day for speeding eastbound on the East West Expressway, at Mile Marker 16 just East of HWY 36.
I asked for her driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance. The lady took out the requested information and handed it to me. As she dismantled her wallet I noticed a Florida Concealed Weapons Permit. I was a little surprised because of her advanced age, so I looked at her and said “Mam I noticed that you have a Concealed Weapons Permit, do you have a weapon in your possession at this time? “Yes,” she responded and informed me that she indeed had a .45 caliber Sig Sauer in her glove box.”Whenever you are pulled-over and an officer approaches your car, you are obligated to inform them that you are a concealed carry permit holder, with weapons in your possession. “Do you have any other firearms in your possession?” She admitted to also having a loaded .40 Caliber Glock in the Center Console. Something about her response or maybe the way she looked at me raised my suspicion. “Now I have to ask you once more, are there any more firearms in your vehicle.” She responded once again and informed me that she did have just one more weapon, a.357 Magnum in her other purse. I then asked her what she was so afraid of. She looked me square in the eye and said, “Not a f*%#ing thing!”
Sincerely,
Trooper Smith
